Here at Cartronix in Valparaiso, we are proud to carry Hertz Audio products to meet the needs of our clients who want the best sound quality possible. Hertz has been a leader in high-quality sound since 1998 with an innovative speaker line, and with high-quality amplifiers to go with them as of 2006. After years of research and design, they introduced the Hertz Marine and Powersports line-up at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show. You can now take that same high-quality sound off-road on your side-by-side or out on the water in your boat.
Hertz Marine Speakers for Your Boat
Hertz certainly knows how to make a great-sounding speaker, but making one that sounds great and can handle the marine environment is another challenge. Marine speakers will be subjected to a lot more heat, direct sunlight, humidity, water splashes, salt water and impacts from speeding across the choppy water. It takes high-tech materials and some great engineering to make them hold up and sound great.
They start with a UV-resistant polypropylene cone and a santoprene rubber surround mounted in a basket made from a temperature- and UV-resistant polymer. There is an 8″ version for a great mid-bass response and two versions of a 6 1/2″ coaxial, with one designed to take an optional RGB light kit to really dress up the installation. For a major sound upgrade, there is a 10″ subwoofer with the same high-quality materials that is made to work without an enclosure to simplify the installation.
Optimized Marine Amplifiers
Just like speakers, marine amplifiers have to be built tough to hold up to the marine environment. Hertz marine amplifiers have a compact chassis and an efficient design to make the most of your boat’s electrical system. The special extruded aluminum heat sink is designed for a light, compact chassis and enhanced heat dissipation. Built-in high- and low-pass crossovers are designed for system flexibility whether you use just coaxials or a more sophisticated set-up with subwoofers. They are available in a bridgeable four-channel or two-channel version with plenty of power for your Hertz speakers.
Hertz Powersports Speaker Line-up
The powersports speaker line-up is built very similar to the marine line and sports a black polymer basket and grille to match your side-by-side or work in the fairings of your cruiser. They are built to handle exposure to dust and mud that you are going to encounter in your off-road adventures or the rain while on the road. Once again, there is an 8″ and a 6 1/2″ version, and both are available with the LED RGB option to customize your installation. These speakers are built to the rugged standards you need for a day on rough backroads and trails, and still deliver the high-quality sound you expect from Hertz.
Rugged Powersports Amplifiers
The powersports amplifiers are built to the same marine-grade standards, but in a case optimized to match your off-road vehicle that is super compact if you need to squeeze it into the fairing of your cruiser. Again, you have all of the system flexibility that you need.
